I went with a more expensive motherboard than is potentially necessary for that cpu but using a less expensive one would require what is called a BIOS flash, which given that you're asking others for help with a parts list (not a problem at all by the way, I enjoy it a ton personally) I figured you wouldn't know how to do, not that it's always the smartest to do them anyway, since if the power goes out (or something of a similar nature happens) while you're doing the BIOS flash, you just bought yourself a $100 paperweight.

Power supply and case are very safe to buy first, as they have no effect on performance. Since you're going to be building it over time, I'd say get the graphics card last for sure as that is what will improve the most in terms of performance between now and the release of d4.
